1946 Papa Dobles

1 ½ oz rum
¾ oz maraschino liqueur
juice of ½ lime
juice of ½ ruby red grapefruit
shaved ice

In a mixing glass combine rum, liqueur and juices. Fill mixing glass to just full with shaved ice. Mix by hand by shaking vigorously or use a milkshake mixer. Serve frappe. As made by Constantino Ribalaigua, the Cocktail King of Cuba and named for his frequent guest, Mr. Hemmingway.
