1929 Canada Punch

3 1/2 pounds white sugar
96 ounces Rye whiskey
32 ounces Jamaica rum
14 lemons, sliced
2 pineapples sliced
4 gallons water

In an extra large mixing vessel combine all ingredients in order. When serving, place ice block in punch bowls and decorate with seasonal fruit. Add mixture and serve in punch glasses or cups.
