Burnett's Flavored Vodka

Burnett's vodka has added two new flavors to its portfolio, sour apple and coconut. The new tastes join Burnett's family of flavored vodkas which also includes raspberry, orange, citrus and vanilla.

Both flavors are unique to the vodka segment; sour apple joins just one other competing vodka and the coconut flavor is the first of its kind in the market. According to Susan Overton, Heaven Hills Distilleries Inc., "The sour apple flavor was developed as a direct response to the consumer's love of sour apple flavor, particularly the Appletini drink craze, and the coconut vodka was created as a one-of-a-kind flavor to capitalize on consumer interest in coconut and tropical flavored drinks."

Burnett's vodkas are quadruple distilled and triple charcoal filtered to remove impurities created by the distillation process. It is no suprise that the flavored vodka collection has been hailed as more expensive than its pricetag would suggest. Flavors are robust without the over-sweetened qualities of schnapps and flavored rums. But watch out, at 70 proof they also carry more of a wallop.

The sour apple and coconut vodkas will be hitting the shelves in March and will retail for an average of $8.99 for the 750 ml bottle, $10.99 for the liter bottle and $17.99 for the full sized 1.75 liter bottle.
