G'Vine Gin
May
2008
Jean Sébastien Robicquet and Bruno de Reilhac, the creative team of oenologists turned distillers that brought you Cîroc ultra-premium vodka, have returned with a dynamic gin that is both sophisticated and approachable.
G’Vine is the first-ever gin made from grape spirit and hosting the essence of the rare green grape flower, which lasts just two weeks after blossoming. The elusive bloom is handpicked and carefully macerated in the Ugni Blanc grape spirit grown in the region of Cognac.
In a second step, the neutral grape spirit, much smoother and more suave than the traditional grain spirit associated with gin production, is then distilled in small batches with a unique combination of nine botanicals, chosen for their purity and aromatic properties: ginger root, liquorice, green cardamom, cassia bark, coriander, juniper berries, cubeb berries, nutmeg and lime.
The green grape flowers infusion, the botanicals distillates and more Ugni Blanc neutral spirit are then carefully blended and copper-pot distilled a fifth and last time for an exquisite result.
G’Vine is currently available in the finest on and off-premise locations in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York Metro area, Nevada, Washington, DC, Maryland, Georgia, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Upstate New York. G’Vine is also nationally available online. The spirit carries a suggested retail price between $35.00 and $40.00.
