Marimba Rum

The Marimba Rum Company, a division of Hood River Distillers, has released a new line of flavored rums. The collection includes Tropical Tease, Spiced Breeze, Orange S'cream and Lemon Squeeze, each based on rum imported from the U. S. Virgin Islands.

Frosted bottles emblazoned with and artistic exclamation point announce the Marimba Rum Company logo for each of the four flavors. Marimba Spiced Breeze, 70 proof, has hints of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg with a hot breathy finish. Tropical Tease, 42
proof, sports a fruity blend of passion fruits, citrus, cocoanut and banana. Marimba Lemon Squeeze, 70 proof, and Orange S'cream, 42 proof, are made from natural flavors with what's billed as "a dynamic finish."

Though these rum blends make an exceptional cocktail straight-up, we have uncovered several flavorsome recipes the home bartender can shake up.

Marimba Rum is available throughout the U.S. at a suggested retail price of $13.95 to $14.95 per 750 ml bottle.
