Peach Fizz

Peach Fizz (Orig. ピーチフィズ) is quite a popular drink in bars across Japan. Imagine those inordinately sweet peach sodas you may have fawned over on a trip there, but with alcohol. The composition generally includes any of the following: Club Soda, Créme de Pêche (aka Peach Liquor), Grenadine Syrup, Lemon Juice, and Gum Syrup, which is the Japanese brand of premade simple syrup. Peach fizz is more of a flavor rather than a drink itself, from what I've seen. However, it's worth noting that there's sort of a general formula wich most bars use.

Now, you might assume this recipe came from time spent in Japan, but you'd be completely wrong. I've never been to Japan, and this recipe was made in Colorado, Fruita, to be exact. I find myself interested in the culture of Japan. I won't lie. So you wouldn't be entirely wrong to say I was looking for something related to this content factory of a country. But as you'll find, though there can be many renditions of drinks, this one is particularly loose when it comes to sticking to the original.

At the time, it was the peach season, and there was so much opportunity to make something that would match. I won't discredit the original creator. In fact, I'd like to thank them for making such a delicious beverage If they ever end up reading this. However, using the prepackaged and imported ingredients of the original would have been a waste. And thus, sort of making it more rustic or westernized in a way, I used what was right in front of me, tons of ripe peaches!
