Whether this actually provides the benefits associated with essential oils or not, it's still one of the most delicious fruity mixers I've ever tried. The name Xarope de Óleo Essencial simply means essential oil syrup, and you'll definitely want to already have a collection of them before making this. Because of the variance and quantity of oils used, you should not justify purchasing each solely for this recipe!

Originally being a concoction the mother of a Brazilian friend of mine made, I had first been introduced from secondhand praises of goodwill. Both she and I were quite invested in using essential oils for cooking, so it made sense I adopted this recipe as well. There have been some changes made here and there, but for the most part, it's still the same thing.

Heated Items
 1 Prune
 4 Blackberries
 5 Raspberries
 20 Pitted Cherries
 8 oz Water
Unheated Items
20 oz Agave Nectar (Substitute with equal parts sugar)
 16 oz Water
 ¼ tsp Almond Extract
 1 Drop Clove Oil
 1 Drop Orange Peel Oil
 1 Drop Coriander Oil
 1 Drop Juniper Oil
 1 Toothpick Lemon Peel Oil
 1 Toothpick Cinnamon Bark Oil
 1 Toothpick Ginger Oil
1 Toothpick Mint or Wintergreen Oil

1

Cut up all of the heated items and add them to a saucepan with the water

2

Boil on medium heat until the berries begin to look softened

3

Mash the mixture with a potatoes masher, or a fork if you're feeling dangerous

4

Strain the mixture through a sieve (Add cheesecloth if you want to get rid of any bit of pulp)

5

Let the mixture cool, then add it to a large bowl

6

Add all of the unheated ingredients and mix until homogenous

7

Add to club soda and other drinks or desserts for a refreshing blast of fruity flavor

8

Put in a squeeze bottle or other storage container for future use
