A Prickle in Time

 

Yet another classic from TJ Natole, A Prickle in Time. A bestseller at his rooftop bar from the Hilton Canopy in Scottsdale. The lemon juice and ginger bitters are nicely complemented by the sweet prickly pear syrup, which is the drink's main source of pizazz. Natole recommends the use of syrups not only to cut harsh aftertastes but also to jazz up anyone's cocktail game. They're easy to make and keep for a lot longer than their fruit counterparts.

Ingredients

 1 oz Tito's Vodka
 1 oz BroVo Rose Vermouth
 1 oz Prickly Pear Syrup
 ¾ oz Lemon Juice
 2 Dashes Ginger Bitters
 Dried Grapefruit (Optional)

 

Directions

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice

Shake for 30 seconds, then strain into a wine glass

3

Serve with dried grapefruit
