Yet another classic from TJ Natole, A Prickle in Time. A bestseller at his rooftop bar from the Hilton Canopy in Scottsdale. The lemon juice and ginger bitters are nicely complemented by the sweet prickly pear syrup, which is the drink's main source of pizazz. Natole recommends the use of syrups not only to cut harsh aftertastes but also to jazz up anyone's cocktail game. They're easy to make and keep for a lot longer than their fruit counterparts.
If you'd like to see some other syrup recipes, make sure to take a look at our "Syrup" category from the search page. We're adding more and more recipes of this sort every few days. Take a look at our latest one (also from Natole), Strawberry Shrub. And yes, we know it's technically a shrub and not a syrup, but it acts very similar in the actual recipe making process.
