Virgin Sunset is a mocktail to be reckoned with. This fruity, layered, alcohol-free mixed beverage has grown dramatically in popularity with hotel bars and pool lounges alike. The particular rendition of Virgin Sunset here comes from Jumeirah beach in Dubai, where I find many American tourists take a liking to it.
I particularly find the teens and kids accompanying their families to enjoy this mocktail. Virgin Sunset reflects what they see their parents drinking, and it’s just so darn good. It caters to both.
Jumeirah adds a unique ingredient to their Virgin Sunset for some extra texture––dragon fruit. I’ve never seen anyone else do it this way and was a bit wary, but they’re well known by tourists for having distinctive mocktails. It adds a satisfying popping pearl mouthfeel––a pleasant surprise.
If you’re looking for a delicious zero-proof alternative while still keeping that class, this is for you. And if you want your kids to also drink in style, Virgin Sunset can be for them too!
